At the exhibition TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2019, issues of further development of railway transport were discussed

Representatives of KTZ Express JSC took part in the second international conference «Transport and Logistics Market», held as part of the 23rd Kazakhstan International Exhibition «Transport and Logistics».

Panel sessions discussed issues related to the potential of rail freight transport, the development of railway infrastructure, digitalization, and the improvement of the regulatory framework. It was noted that the effectiveness of the economy of any state directly depends on the development of the country's transport and logistics complex.
Unique geographical location allows Kazakhstan to actively develop such a promising direction as transit. In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of «KTZ Express» JSC Dmitry Abdullaev said that for 8 months of 2019 the volume of freight traffic through the network of «KTZ» NC» JSC reached 183.8 million tons, while the growth of container traffic in terms of transit amounted to 411 , 2 thousand TEUs, which is 35% higher than in the same period in 2018.
«Container transit is the strategic vector of the Company, and we see the growth point in it. Today, Kazakhstan’s infrastructure is only 47% loaded, there is huge potential for development, we have a lot to strive for,» - D. Abdullaev noted. In general, one of the main instruments stimulating the demand for transportation along all transport corridors passing through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan was an increase in the speed of container trains to 1,026 km / day. In addition, the flexible tariff policy of JSC «NC» KTZ» plays a significant role. So, this year 110 decisions were made aimed at lowering the transit tariff. At the same time, since 2014, tariffs for container trains to Europe have remained stable.
