The first container train launched from Moscow to the province of China through Kazakhstan

In May of this year, the launch of a new container train consisting of 62 40-foot containers with petrochemical cargo was organized from Moscow (from Kupavna station) to the province of China in transit through Kazakhstan. The forwarding of the iconic train through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan was carried out by KTZ Exress JSC.

A container train arrived in Kazakhstan from Russia  border crossing  Ozinki / Semiglavy Mar, then through the Dostyk / Alashankou border crossing went to the Chinese cities of Chunqing and Qingdao.

Travel time through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan was three days.

The launch of a new container train is aimed at developing transit container potential and is an example of strategic cooperation between the railway administrations of Russia, Kazakhstan and China.

High demand for organized service is noted. In the future, it is planned to increase container traffic on the specified route and organize regular container train runs with the involvement of new participants in the transport and logistics market.
