Web-conference event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economy and Communications of Estonia, representatives of KTZ NC JSC, KTZ Express JSC, JSC Russian Railways ”, Tallinn Port and others.
The main goal of the conference is to discuss and reach agreements on the further development of transport between China and Sweden through the territories of Kazakhstan, Russia and Estonia.
Obviously, the increasing role in this situation is played by the provision of high-speed container train services between China and Sweden.
The participants of the event believe that, given the limited possibilities of sea and air transportation, the launch of a high-speed connection of container trains between China and Sweden will become a priority.
In his speech, the head of KTZ Express JSC said that Kazakhstan has a unique geographical position: land, sea borders with seven states. And despite the epidemiological situation in the world, the growth of transit container traffic through the territory of Kazakhstan for 4 months of 2020 amounted to 29% compared to the same period in 2019.
“On the routes through Kazakhstan, all conditions have been created for the acceptance and maintenance of cargo flows with the provision of a comprehensive service and compliance with all necessary sanitary and epidemiological standards. We are open for cooperation and ready to participate in joint projects”, emphasized D. Abdullaev.
