First container train from Shanxi Province to Azerbaijan dispatched via the TITR

KTZ Express has completed a multimodal transportation of the first container train from Shanxi Province (China) to Azerbaijan via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

The train, comprising 50 standard containers with photovoltaic module sets weighing over 1,150 tons, was assembled and dispatched from the "Zhongding" logistics center in Jinzhong. It travelled across Kazakhstan and arrived at the Port of Aktau, from where the cargo continued by sea to Azerbaijan.

The launch of this new route from Northern China along the Middle Corridor highlights the growing relevance of TITR as an effective alternative to traditional routes, reinforcing Kazakhstan’s role as a key transit hub in Eurasian logistics.
