New container service launched by XIAN-PRAGUE route TITR via Kazakhstan

The container train Xi'an (Hsinchu) -Istanbul (Halkali) -Praga (Czech Republic) for the first time followed the container train via the new alternative route China-Europe-China, transit through the Kazakh border station Altynkol.
New service is the implementation of the agreements reached between NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» JSC and the People's Government of Shanxi Province as part of the «One Belt - One Way» initiative.
A distance of 8500 kilometers, the train, consisting of 42 forty-foot containers with electronics, will overcome in 20 days, combining the territories of ten countries along the route.
The train followed the territory of Kazakhstan for 72 hours. Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC «NC» KTZ”for Logistics P. Sokolov expressed gratitude to all parties who participated in the creation of this service, stressing that the launch of a new container train is an example of strategic cooperation between the railway administrations of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, as well as the Chinese side who organized the train on this route. “We will continue to work actively with our partners, improve the quality of the service provided and expand the transportation routes. This is a strategic vector of the activities of KTZ and is aimed at using the transit potential of Kazakhstan, ”P. Sokolov noted.
