During the event, a report was heard on the activities of the public association IA TITR on the implementation of the transportation plan of TITR for 9 months of 2020, according to which the volume of container traffic along the TITR, taking into account the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the dynamics of cargo transportation, for the reporting period amounted to about 15,000 TEU.

In addition, within the framework of the meeting, as a result of discussions, the Azerbaijani operator of wagons ADY Express LLC was unanimously accepted into the Trans-Caspian Transport Route consortium, coordinated by KTZ Express JSC.

The agenda of the meeting also discussed the timing of container trains passage, single and group shipments in the East-West direction, as well as the issues of amending the Agreement on the organization of container traffic in direct international rail and water communication with the participation of feeder ships between the ports of the Caspian Sea (Aktau, Baku (Alat)) dated June 25, 2019.

“We see a high interest of TITR participants in working on joint projects and will continue to improve the unified technology of the transportation process, simplify administrative procedures, create a competitive environment and ensure maximum efficiency of the route to attract transit and foreign trade cargo,” said Pavel Sokolov.

As a result of the meeting, the participants approved tariff conditions on the TITR route for the transportation of enriched coal, coke nut, sulfur, liquefied gas, grain, oilseeds, legumes and other nomenclature of goods.
