Development of the TITR Route Discussed in Baku

On March 3–4, 2025, A.I. Kapar, Deputy General Director for Logistics of «KTZ Express» JSC, participated in the Working Group meeting and General Meeting of the Association of Legal Entities International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” (TITR) in Baku, Azerbaijan. During the event, key directions for the route’s development and plans for 2025, including the expansion of infrastructure capacity, were discussed.
As part of the meeting, on behalf of «NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» JSC, the Deputy General Director for Logistics of KTZ Express signed a memorandum of cooperation with PTC Holding for the development of terminal infrastructure at the Port of Poti, Georgia.
The document outlines the creation of a modern transport and logistics hub, which will strengthen international trade ties and enhance the region's transit potential, ensuring more efficient and seamless cargo movement through the South Caucasus.
Notably, in 2024, traffic volume along the route increased 33-fold compared to 2023, underscoring its growing relevance and demand. According to PwC forecasts, by 2030, container traffic along the TITR could reach 287,000 TEU, an eightfold increase from 2024.
