KTZE JSC Participates in Joint Working Group Meeting Between NC KTZ JSC and Russian Railways JSC

From September 26-28 in Volgograd, K. Zhaksybek, Deputy General Director for Operations Support at KTZE JSC, attended the 14th meeting of the Joint Working Group between NC KTZ JSC and Russian Railways JSC. The primary focus of the meeting was the development of strategic cooperation between the two companies.

Key topics discussed included the development of the eastern route of the North-South International Transport Corridor (ITC) and the joint enhancement of trans-Eurasian corridors through the digitalization of technological processes.

As a result of the meeting, priority areas and measures for strategic cooperation were identified, with a particular emphasis on forecasting transportation volumes for 2024-2030, including the eastern route of the North-South ITC.

It’s worth recalling that in July 2023, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Russia signed a roadmap for the synchronous development of the eastern route of the North-South ITC for 2024-2025. The implementation of this document is expected to increase the corridor’s capacity to 15 million tons by 2027 and up to 20 million tons by 2030.
