Reverse Route on TITR: First Container Train from Baku to Xi’an

On November 24, 2024, the official launch ceremony for the first container train on the reverse route from Baku (Absheron) to Xi’an took place.
The train, comprising 62 containers of petroleum coke, will travel along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) as part of a “reverse load” and reach its destination in just 12 days.
TITR offers a reliable and secure route that not only reduces transit times but also ensures the safety and reliability of cargo transportation. Previously, similar cargo was delivered by trucks via the Port of Trabzon, followed by maritime transport to China, a process that took more than 40 days.
The service is organized by KTZ Express in partnership with Xi’an Free Trade Port, Absheron Logistics, and ADY Express, opening new opportunities for efficient and fast cargo transportation between the West and Europe.
