KTZ Express JSC to Announce Tender for the Construction of Six Sea Vessels

KTZ Express JSC has launched a strategic project to build six modern sea vessels to strengthen Kazakhstan’s container fleet and increase the capacity of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
The vessels’ technical specifications are designed to ensure the efficiency of multimodal transportation, improving the stability and predictability of transit times. The new vessels will be optimized for the specific conditions of the Caspian Sea and inland waterways, including passage through locks and operations in shallow waters.
Key vessel specifications:
- capacity — 450–520 TEU;
- deadweight — up to 9,000 tons;
- draft “river/sea” — 3.6 m / 4.7 m;
- speed — 10–12 knots;
- engines and diesel generators — supplied by leading manufacturers from Europe, the USA, Japan, and South Korea.
The vessels will be designed and built in compliance with the standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the requirements of SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW. They will also meet the specifications of leading classification societies, including Bureau Veritas, RINA, and ABS, and will feature advanced navigation and automated control systems ensuring a high level of safety. Environmental measures include the installation of energy-efficient engines, exhaust gas cleaning systems, and wastewater treatment systems.
KTZ Express JSC will soon announce a tender for the construction of six sea vessels and invites all interested suppliers to participate and submit their commercial proposals.
