New freight rail route launched between China and Kazakhstan

April 1 this year a pilot container train arrived in Nur-Sultan from the administrative center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR) in Nanning.
New service was organized within the framework of the "One Belt - One Road" Kazakhstan-China Initiative.
Container train departed from the international railway port of Nanning on March 17 and, having covered more than 5 thousand km, delivered 49 forty-foot containers with heavy construction equipment.
The cargo was transported by a Kazakh multimodal operator, a subsidiary of NC KTZ JSC –KTZ Express JSC. The company provided a full range of services for the provision of rolling stock, freight forwarding, registration of shipping documents package.
According to Zholbaskanova Nursulu, Head of the Representative Office of KTZ Express JSC in China, the new logistics channel has saved the delivery time by 3 times. Previously, construction equipment was transported by road. Delivery time took over 45 days.
