KTZ Express Takes a Major Step Toward the Construction of a Container Hub at Aktau Port

On September 20, 2024, during the 8th International Exhibition “Silk Road”  in Xi’an, China, “KTZ Express”  JSC, Lianyungang Port Group Co., Ltd., and NC “Aktau Sea Trade Port”  JSC signed founding documents for a joint venture aimed at implementing the project “ Construction of a Container Hub at Aktau Port.”

The project, supported by both governments, is part of the global “ One Belt, One Road”  initiative. Its realization will strengthen Kazakhstan’s role in the international logistics system, unlocking new opportunities for the development of the transport and logistics sector.

Located along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), which is becoming a key link in the Eurasian transportation system, the container hub will enhance the attractiveness of the route and boost transit transportation volumes.

It is worth noting that Lianyungang Port has been a strategic partner of KTZ Express for over 10 years. Together, they have successfully implemented two significant projects: the Kazakh-Chinese terminal at Lianyungang Port and Central Asia’s largest dry port, the Khorgos Gateway.
