1st Meeting of the Kazakhstan-Turkmen Joint Working Group

On 26-27 November 2023, Ashgabat hosted the first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Turkmen Joint Working Group dedicated to the development of transport, transit and logistics. The event was timed to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and discuss promising areas of co-operation in these areas.

The Working Group discussed the strategic development of transport corridors, tariff conditions for railway and road transport, as well as the prospects for maritime freight transport and cooperation in aviation.

Environmental Initiatives of Khorgos Gateway for the Conservation of Water Resources

Khorgos Gateway, the largest dry port in Central Asia, is located in the basin of the Khorgos River, a tributary of the Ili River, one of the key sources of water supply in the region.
