KTZ Express Participates in the First Working Group Meeting on TITR Development Between Kazakhstan and China

On September 24, 2024, the inaugural meeting of the Working Group on Cargo Transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) between Kazakhstan and China took place in Astana. The meeting included representatives from NC KTZ JSC, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport, and China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

The meeting focused on the prospects of increasing freight traffic along the China-Europe route and discussing key infrastructure projects and collaborative efforts related to TITR.

During the session, agreements were reached to increase the number of transit trains to Europe passing through Kazakhstan, with plans to handle up to 600 container trains (CT) by 2025, 1,000 CT by 2027, and 2,000 CT by 2029.

KTZ Express actively supports the development of TITR, which serves as a crucial multimodal corridor linking China and Europe via the Caspian Sea. The parties emphasized that strengthening cooperation on TITR within the China-Europe transport network is essential for fostering economic relations and building a comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.
