KTZ Express Discusses the Creation of Multimodal Corridors at a Meeting in Ashgabat

On October 1, 2024, the thirteenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakhstan-Turkmen Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation was held in Ashgabat. This event was organized in preparation for the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.K. Tokayev, to Turkmenistan.
Representatives from specialized ministries and departments of both Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan attended the meeting, with KTZ Express represented by U.A. Orazov, Deputy General Director for Commerce.
The parties discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation in the transportation and logistics sector. Special attention was given to the establishment of the multimodal corridor “Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan.” Additionally, the potential for attracting cargo from China and back along the route “Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Iran” was considered, along with the possibility of further expansion.
