Prospects of transport and logistics cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia were discussed in Ufa

On November 26, 2024, the IX meeting of the Russian-Kazakh Business Council was held in Ufa, dedicated to the implementation of joint trade and infrastructure projects between Russia and Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by U.A. Orazov, Deputy General Director for Commerce of KTZ Express JSC, who informed the participants about the prospects for the development of such transport corridors as the eastern North–South branch and the Trans-Afghan route.

The participants of the event were also provided with information about the project implemented by KTZ Express together with Chinese and Russian partners in the Selyatino transport and logistics center CRK Terminal near Moscow.

This project is a key element of the China–Kazakhstan–Russia route, creating a closed HUB-to-HUB logistics cycle providing for the consolidation and distribution of cargo flows in Xi'an (PRC) and at Selyatino station (RF), which will ensure the effective organization of transit traffic through Kazakhstan, including multimodal solutions.

The ongoing joint projects in the transport and logistics industry are aimed at increasing the competitiveness of transit routes passing through Kazakhstan and strengthening the countries' positions in the international logistics system.
