TITR: favorable conditions are created for cargo flow growth

On October 21-22 of the current year, the delegation of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, headed by the Chairman of the Management Board of the Company, Sauat Mynbaev, took part in the third international Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, which was opened by the Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Gakharia.
Heads and representatives of government bodies, business structures, transport and logistics companies from more than 60 countries discussed issues of expanding cooperation in international trade, economics, digital technologies, in terms of infrastructure development. Within the framework of the Forum, meetings of the Working Group and the General Meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route International Association were held. During the meeting of the General Meeting, the results of work on the transportation of goods by TITR for 9 months of the current year were summed up.
Positive dynamics of the volume of container traffic was noted, which amounted to 18.1 thousand TEU (+ 75%). The head of NC KTZ JSC, the chairman of the board of the ALE IA TITR , Sauat Mynbaev emphasized the importance of continuing to attract new freight flows to the route, and the need to create favorable conditions for increasing the efficiency of the Trans-Caspian corridor. The meeting participants were also informed about the results of cargo delivery by feeder vessels for the first half of 2019.
Since the beginning of the feeder line, 26 circular flights have been completed. 2476 TEUs were transported in containers along the Aktau-Baku-Aktau route, 1,524 TEUs were transported in containers. The meeting approved tariff rates for the transportation of 45-foot containers with the participation of feeder vessels along the Aktau-Baku-Aktau route, which will be effective from November 1, 2019. In addition, a proposal was discussed to prolong the tariff rates set for 2019 along the TITR route for 2020. By the decision of the General Meeting, TIS Container Terminal LLC and Baku Hovsan International Commercial Sea Port OJSC were accepted into the Association. Following the meeting, the Protocol of the General Meeting of the ALE "IA" Trans-Caspian International Transport Route "was signed.
