A 26-Year Journey: The Story of Bibigul Sarkenova, KTZ Express Logistician

She is the Chief Manager of the Functional Direction for Tariff Calculation in Transit Operations at the Logistics Department.

Bibigul Sarkenova began her career in the railway industry over 26 years ago and has been part of KTZ Express since 2016. During this time, she has progressed from a specialist at the KTZE Operator branch to a leading expert at the company’s central office.

“I have always been curious about how logistics works: how routes are built, how cargo moves, and how all links in the process interact. It is a dynamic field where accuracy, responsibility, and the ability to make quick decisions are crucial,” says Bibigul Sarkenova.

At KTZ Express, she is responsible for tariff calculation, development of new routes, and cooperation with freight forwarding service providers. The accuracy and efficiency of her decisions directly affect client obligations and transportation performance.

“Every day brings new tasks - calculations, approvals, meetings, and communication with partners. We work as a unified team where coordination and responsibility of each member matter,” she notes.

Over the years, Bibigul Sarkenova has made a significant contribution to the development of railway logistics. She has participated in designing new and alternative routes, ensured agreements with Kazakh and foreign partners, and contributed proposals for automating logistics processes and developing wagon-based transport.

Her professionalism, analytical thinking, and punctuality help her efficiently solve complex tasks and ensure a high level of service. For her achievements, she has been awarded the “For Honest Work” badge and the “25 Years of KTZ” jubilee medal.
