KTZ Express ensures seamless transportation of raw materials from the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine

KTZ Express in partnership with the Uzbek Railways ensures transportation of container trains with cathode copper and zinc from the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine, which produces around 90% silver and 20% gold in Uzbekistan and is the largest copper producer in Central Asia.
Raw materials are regularly sent from Sergeli station (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). Then, through the Kazakhstan border stations Saryagash and Oasis, the cargo enters Aktau port via the Trans-Caspian route, where on a feeder vessel it goes to Baku. From the port, the cargo is delivered to the Turkish cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Mersin.
Monthly volume of traffic averages more than 400 twenty-foot heavy containers.
“We provide customers with a comprehensive logistics service. Now in the emergency conditions, switching of freight volumes from road to rail is more economically profitable, improves planning quality and ensures seamless supply of raw materials”, - says KTZ Express CEO Dmitry Abdullaev.
