The Customs Transit Process For Cargo Moving Along Middle Corridor At The China-Kazakhstan Border Is Now Fully Automated

Global DTC Pte Ltd., a member of the PSA Group, in collaboration with Kazakhstan’s national logistics operator “KTZ Express” JSC, has launched the digital platform Tez Customs, to streamline the customs clearance procedure for cargo transiting at the border between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Tez Customs Platform provides a comprehensive digital solution, facilitating the preliminary preparation of documents, automatic registration, and issuance of transit declarations. This technology-driven solution optimises logistics workflows, enhances transparency throughout the registration process, and significantly reduces turnaround time for customs operations.
As a result of the joint efforts of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC, and Global DTC, Tez Customs Platform fully automated the customs clearance process for transit cargo on the China - Central Asia route (Altynkol - Saryagash) beginning in May 2024. In October 2024, the platform's functionality was extended to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
Since its launch, the platform has automated over 54,000 transit declarations on the China - Central Asia route, and more than 5,000 declarations on the TITR. The implementation of Tez Customs Platform has enabled a transition to a paperless document flow, reducing the time required for customs procedures to just 30 minutes from the moment the train arrives at the border station.
