Joint Development of TITR: Meeting of KTZ, KTZ Express and CRCT Leadership

At the headquarters of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), a meeting was held between the leadership of KTZ, KTZ Express, and China Railway Container Transport (CRCT).

The Kazakh side was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Logistics of KTZ, Mr. Yerlan Khoishybayev, CEO (Chairman of the Management Board) of KTZ Express, Mr. Damir Kozhakhmetov, as well as heads of relevant divisions of the company and the joint venture Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd.

The CRCT delegation was headed by Chairman of the Management Board, Mr. Yan Bin. The negotiations were also attended by Mr. Dai Hansheng, General Director of CRCT Kazakhstan, Mr. Jiang Bo, Deputy General Director of China United International Rail Containers, and heads of CRCT divisions.

The parties discussed the development of international railway transportation, with a focus on expanding the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), implementing through-train schedules, cooperation within the framework of the JV Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd, and ensuring cargo safety.

Special attention was given to digitalization and data exchange. Representatives of KTZ and CRCT expressed readiness for joint projects aimed at simplifying transport procedures and improving the efficiency of freight operations. Following the agreements, KTZ Express will lead the working group on coordinating cooperation in the field of digitalization.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the parties to strengthen their partnership and jointly enhance the competitiveness of the TITR route in the Eurasian freight market.
