A pilot flexi train from Kazakhstan to China has been launched on a land route

One and a half thousand tons of Kazakhstani sunflower oil was sent today by KTZ Express JSC in partnership with Zhangyru Zhol LLP and the Russian company Europack from Kostanay station to the Northwestern port of China Nantong. The container train, consisting of 82 twenty-foot containers weighing more than 1,500 tons, will cover a route of more than 6,000 km in 14 days. Transportation of goods using flexitanks as an alternative to specialized containers and tanks is a new promising service that is interesting from the point of view of optimizing the costs of shippers and increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstani products abroad.
