On September 30, 2020, a press tour for the Kazakh media took place at the Dry Port KTZE-Khorgos Gateway and the Altynkol railway border station, during which the participants were presented with the modern infrastructure created by NC KTZ JSC for the accelerated passage of cargo flows to the Kazakh-Chinese border.

The logistics hub KTZE-Khorgos Gateway operated by the multimodal company KTZ Express JSC is the largest dry port in Central Asia, located in a strategically advantageous location - on the territory of the special economic zone Khorgos - Eastern Gate on the border between Kazakhstan and China.

Since the beginning of the year a number of new container routes have been launched via Altynkol station using the infrastructure of the Dry Port KTZ Express – these are new services Jinhua (PRC) - Baku (Azerbaijan), Xian (PRC)- Izmit (Turkey) on the route TITR, Chengsyan (PRC) - Zhodino (Belarus), Jinan Nan (PRC) - Gypjak (Turkmenistan), Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) - Qingdao (PRC), as well as regular container service Altynkol - Moscow node stations.

In general, today, the most favorable tariff conditions have been created by KTZ Express, the parameters of speed and safety of goods are observed on all routes through Kazakhstan. The section from Altynkol to the port of Aktau with a length of 3128 km, containers pass in three days, and since April 16, 2019, a feeder vessel of the Kazmortransflot company weekly delivers about 210 containers to the port of Baku, from where cargoes by rail go to Georgia and Turkey. The total travel time, for example, from Chinese Xi'an to Turkish Istanbul takes 16 days.
