On September 20, work meeting in the video conference format was held between Sauat Mynbayev, JSC NC KTZ COB, and Lu Dongfu, Chinese Railways COB.

During the meeting, parties noted that cargo transportation's volume between two countries shows positive dynamics.

“For 8 months of 2020, cargo transportation volume through border crossings between China and Kazakhstan reached 14.2 million tons, which is 30% more than the same period of last year," Lu Dongfu said.

By the end of 2020, parties expect the volume of cargo transportation through border crossings between China and Kazakhstan at the level of 21 million tons.

During the conversation, the parties marked special attention to provide increasing traffic volumes through the Dostyk - Alashankou and Altynkol – Khorgos border crossings.
