Pilot Shipment of Cars in Containers Begins at Khorgos Gateway Dry Port

On September 25, 2024, the pilot shipment of Chinese-manufactured cars in containers commenced at the Khorgos Gateway dry port. This initial shipment is traveling via the Altynkol station towards Baku, Azerbaijan, where the logistics cycle will be completed. It marks the test run for transporting vehicles along a newly established multimodal route.

Containerizing cars offers a cost-effective solution that significantly reduces both delivery time and costs. The journey from Altynkol to Baku takes just 5-6 days, making it a notably faster alternative to traditional methods.

This shipment confirms the efficiency of containerized transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), highlighting the growing importance of logistics in this direction.

KTZ Express JSC continues to strengthen its position as a leading logistics operator by providing efficient cargo transportation services and advancing multimodal routes.
